So You Think You Can Dance, Is Katie Holmes Coming?

This summer, on the So You Think You Can Dance stag, could Katie Holmes shake her booty sometime?

The story that appeared earlier this week in Life & Style magazine, but so far it remains only a sketchy rumor. Fox network reps and Katie Holmes' people had no comment on the matter, andSYTCYD's twittering judges, Nigel Lythgoe, Lil' C and Adam Shankman, are staying mum.

But what did Tony Bellissimo and Paris Torres, season five's first eliminated dancers, reveal about the prospect of Mrs. Cruise appearing on the hit reality competition? Here's what they just told us...

When asked about if she had heard that the actress would be appearing on the show, Paris said, "That's the first time I've ever heard of that...That would suck if she was [appearing], because now I'm not there!"

Tony approached the prospect of a Katie Holmes guest gig with more confusion than disappointment: "I didn't know Katie Holmes could dance or sing. I don't know if Tom Cruise is coming, too." (For the record, last fall, Katie performed "Hit Me With a Hot Note" in a dream sequence on ABC's now-canceled drama Eli Stone.)

As for their own situation, Tony offered "no excuses" for their performance and declined to criticizeTabitha and Napoleon's hip-hop choreography. He said, "They gave us choreography that would actually stand out in the competition because it's not lovey-dovey. It was a great piece that was not executed the right way."

For her part, Paris said, "I think we over-rehearsed ourselves. [The routine] was watered down." She also said their elaborate costumes constricted movement: "We had this part in the dance where we slide on the floor and since we were both wearing leather pants we went nowhere on the slide! I had that corset on that was constricting my rib movements and all of the isolations that I was doing. We had those headphones, and we had all those intricate head movements. The wardrobe stylist is amazing—you see all the other costumes she does on the show—it was a great concept. It just didn't mesh well with what we were doing."

Do you think Paris and Tony were doomed by wardrobe malfunctions, or were they merely outclassed? And as a SYTYCD fan, how would you feel about megaceleb Katie Holmes stopping by the show? Will it screw things up or cast an even-brighter spotlight on the series? Share your thoughts in the comments!
